Norman Williamson is an Independent Consulting Engineer who provides reports relating to the following subjects;
Still images, video and sketch or scale plans, can be provided with all reports if required. Provision of an Expert Witness Service in Civil & Criminal actions for and on behalf of the Legal Profession, Insurance Industry, Trading Standards Departments, Fleet Operators, Accident Management Companies and the General Public. Reports that are to be used in Court will comply with the current Civil Procedure Rules and Expert Witness Protocols. Reports can be provided on all types of vehicle including; motorcycles, scooters, motor cars, light goods vehicles & heavy goods vehicles. If you require a report for either legal or insurance purposes relating to any of the above noted subjects we can assist. If we cannot, then we will probably be able to direct you to someone who can.

Norman Williamson has been employed or self employed in the Motor and Insurance Industry generally, since 1967 and specifically as an Independent Consulting Engineer / Accident Investigator since 1990. During this time he has provided reports for the Legal Profession (in both civil and criminal cases, on behalf of either the claimant or the defendant and as a Joint Expert), Insurance Companies, Trading Standards Departments, Transport Industry and the General Public. Reports have been compiled for use in cases varying from minor traffic collision damage assessments, to major personal injury claims in the Queens bench Division of the Crown Court and Dangerous Driving, Rape, Attempted Murder and Murder cases in the criminal Courts. Reports have also been provided for the Coroners Court. Reports are provided in a fast efficient manner and conform to the current Civil Procedure Rules and Expert Witness Protocols or in accordance with the Principles instructions, if not Court related. Fees and any expenses incurred are charged at a rate that is competitive with those charged by other Independent Consultant Engineers. Specific costs or estimates for providing a report can be given once all the information regarding the case has been made available.
IMPORTANT Please take note; many firms of Independent Engineer Assessors and or Investigators who list themselves as being members of various Institutes, may only have one member of their staff who are actually a member of any particular Institute. The person who actually carries out the inspection and investigation in your case, and who provides a report, may have no qualifications whatsoever. Norman Williamson carries out all the inspections/investigations and compiles all reports, the investigation is not delegated to a none qualified person. It is highly recommended that before you engage any 'Expert' to provide a report, please check that they have the relevant qualifications and they are actually members of the Institute the person states he/she is a member of. If you find that they are not a member or have incorrectly described their qualifications, you should report this to the Institute involved and or the local Trading Standards Department. It can be extremely embarrassing and costly for all concerned when the so called 'Expert' is cross-examined in Court and is found to have misrepresented him/herself.
